Delete File After Install Inno Setup Script

Hello, Is it possible to add support to innounp that I can update/replace an existing file within an Inno Setup setup file? For example all Inno Setup setup files will contain an install_script.iss file. I extract the install_script.iss file using: innounp.exe -x -m -a mysetupfile.exe install_script.iss After making modifications to the extracted install_script.iss file I would now like up update/replace the copy contained in mysetupfile.exe with my modified one. Currently the changes I make are not changing the filesize of install_script.iss as I am doing a global replace of: MinVersion: 0.0,5.01 with: MinVersion: 0.0,5.00 I belong to a Windows 2000 gaming forum: and this functionality would help us greatly.

Jul 4, 2013 - Extracting the files. Open Universal Extractor and select the installer you want to extract and the folder you want to use. After that, you will have a hierarchy. To edit this file you need to install Inno Setup, which comes with its own script editor. Search for the Check variable and delete all the entries found. Erases the file named by FileName from the disk. If the file cannot be deleted or does not exist, the function returns False. Does any one know how to add outbound firewall rule or how to specify direction in innosetup script. I am able to add inbound rule with out specifying direction but not outbound rule, it should. I was trying to move files from. My setup is working so far, that I have a wizard and installing after the wizard somes executables.

Why not have Inno run a PB/CC file in silent mode at the beginning of the installation? It would extract to the directory where the install program resides and capture the directory path, which it would store in the same directory as a string. Then, at the end of the install, a second PB/CC program would run that would retrieve the string, delete the install program (and the file with the string) and then terminate. Since both PB/CC programs would run from within Inno, I don't think they would be extracted to the disk, so you would achieve your goal. Question: what if the user wants to re-install at a later date? Like following a hard drive crash (which I experienced three days ago)? Code: '#SPI:SelfDel EXW [?path Your Setup) or if you want to use Mouseclicks etc.

EXE [?path Setup} Script. ' Get Process ID GPI ' Wait process running WPR @It can install the whole setup with all mouseclicks etc.

And can finally delete itself. And all that works even with the freeware.

Your only problem for this is that you may need to use a german translator:-). You need to understand the help especially about 'EXE-Creation' and '#SPI:' and thats all in german. ------------------ --Theo Gottwald *. @Matthias: I am not shure you have heared from WinRobots and maybe what I wrote was not quite understandable. Download Kidlogger Pro For Android. Let me clarify this. If you take any installer, they do install software, but after doing that they wont delete themselves.

Also you may need to make inputs, click on 'next' etc. WinRobots is especially for such tasks. Its also a part of software-deployment-systems. You write the script and click 'Make EXE'. On your desktop appears a red file(.exe). Installing Fullsac Baffles here. You may note that this part of WinRobots was made with PowerBasic, and therefore is 100% reliable and bugfree:-). Finally you have only one EXE-File.

Keycaps 600 Download Movies more. This EXE-File contains anything, for example it could contain a Setup (PB-Setup:-). You just start it, anything that follows runs completely automated.

After the programm (in this case it would be Powerbasic) is installed, the Robot deletes itself. This means there is no visible trace left. Of course with most installers you can do unattended Setup-Scripts. But they do not delete after execution normally. Hope my explanation was better. Maybe this video explains it better: ------------------ --Theo Gottwald *.
